Mozambique and Malawi

sunny 30 °C

This is going to be a poor entry but please be patient and i can update it another time when i am more in the mood.
Mozambique is a good country to visit but one of the hardest to travel via public transport in. For example 36 straight hours on the back of a truck wedged between a diesel drum and dried fish, at one point someone tried to put a spare tyre on me! I ended up lying on the dried fish with my head hanging off the truck, with a woman asleep in my armpit, the mazunga was scaring all the locals! Also travelled in a shipping container on the back of a truck, on a train, on a pushbike (the only way across the border), and by boat.
on the bright side was completely taken care of by the American Peace Corp and friends of pc. Also put up by fantastic South AFricans. They really made it worth while!!

Malawi turned out to be exactly what i needed, i had some really wonderful days relaxing on the lake. People welcomed me into their homes and fed me, and were just totally wonderful. This place really is the real heart of africa. If anyone wants an easy trip to AFrica i suggest Malawi. i also changed my appearance here by getting dreadlocks. Not too sure about them yet, will probably shave them out soon. then that is two hairstyles i want to try. It is working wonders for us though. People are so friendly to the african rusta mazungo!!

Maybe MAlawi made me a little soft for the rest of Africa, i relaxed too much....
